Company Background

GreenLeaf Horticultural Supply Co. runs a small internal tool for staff to submit feedback and export it as PDF reports for HR. It was built by a contractor who's long gone, no documentation left behind.

The Incident

Reported by: Denise M., HR Coordinator
Subject: Small issue on portal feedback

A warehouse employee mentioned the export feature "acts weird" when a report title has certain characters in it. IT's response was to just avoid special characters — not exactly a fix, more of a shrug.

The one detail worth remembering: the developer said the export feature "just runs the title through as-is" to generate the PDF. Make of that what you will.
